TREE PLANTING

Tree Planting

Tree-planting is the process of transplanting tree seedlings, generally for forestry, landscaping purpose, or land reclamation. It differs from the transplantation of larger trees in arboriculture, and from the lower cost but slower and less reliable distribution of tree seeds.

What are some benefits of tree planting?

Because trees are so important, there are many reasons why we should plant more of them.

  1. Trees hold soil in place
  2. Trees sequester carbon dioxide
  3. Trees produce oxygen
  4. Some animals are dependent upon trees.
  5. Trees make cities more livable
  6. Trees help to save energy
  7. Trees reduce the amount of stormwater runoff; which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways
  8. Trees minimize the effect of flooding

Who can benefit from tree planting?

Commercial and residential property owners can benefit from adding trees and taking their landscape design to another level. Quality landscapes with healthy trees make the property look more desirable, therefore increasing property value.
